Western square dancing the first and third Saturday of every month

Cued round dancing begins at 7:30 p.m., square dancing begins at 8:00 p.m., and dancing ends at 10:30 p.m.

For our regular dances, the cost is $12 per couple, or $6 for singles, and callers and cuers are welcome at no charge,

For our special dances, the cost is $15 per couple, or $7.50 for singles,

Square Dancers with Tom, Mike, and Phyllis

This group of square dancers were cruising the Eastern Caribbean with the callers Ton Rudebock and Mike Sumpter, and Cuer Phyllis Burdette. The cruise was in the winter of 2012, on the Carnival "Liberty" cruise line. Most square dancers were from northeast Ohio.

Another Cruise Planned - 10 Day Cruise-tour of Alaska SEPTEMBER 5 - 15, 2012,

A Special Note About Lessons

Sunday, Fall of 2012 and Winter 2013. H&C Western Style Square Dance Lesson will be from 6:30 to 8:30. Graduation Night will be March 4, 2012.

Lessons begin in September each year

H&C Western Style Square Dance Lessons for each year: Lessons on Sunday evenings will be from 6:30 to 8:30. If any one wants to come and watch, you are welcome.

Western Square Dance Demonstration

These dancers are far better than we are at our club dances, but, we have fun.

Summer in the Park

Every Wednesday at 6:45 pm till 8:45 pm. From June thru August,

Whitehall Community Park, 402 North Hamilton Road, Whitehall, Ohio,

Sponsored by the Central Ohio Callers Assoc., All callers, cuers, and lines, donate their talents.

Rounds and/or lines are included, Note: casual dress.

Demonstrations

The Club gives demonstrations at nursing care homes throughout the year. Demonstrations are also given during special community events. Please contact a Club officer if you would like to make an arrangement for a demonstration.

Club Travels to Conventions and Special Dances

Over the years, the Hicks and Chicks have attended the annual Ohio State Conventions, The Mid-America Jamborees, The Moonbow Weekends, The Atwood Lake Weekends, and many specials of other clubs. During the Summer months, they also enjoy the weekly Wednesday evening dances in Columbus at the Whitehall Community Center.

September 24 and 25, 2012 - "Smokin' In Rail City" Square & Round Dance Weekend, at Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Centre, 7 Town Square, Lima, Ohio 45801, Fri. 3:00 to 10:30 PM, Sat. 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM, with Johnny Preston, Dee Dee Dougherty, & Jack Pladdys calling and Chuck Berry cuing, $40.00 at door, per person for weekend, Saturday evening meal is slightly extra.
